September Class Updates
Social Skills/Group Discussion
Social skills are ways of dealing with others that create healthy and positive interactions. Children who have social skills can communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully. They show consideration for the feelings and interests of their peers. In September they will learn to ask for help appropriately from the right people. They will practise different scenarios through role play.
Cognitive skill development in children involves the progressive building of learning skills, such as attention, memory and thinking. Students will be engaged in board activities as a pair or in small groups and have mini competitions amongst themselves.
Students with school homework will be supervised. Those without school homework will do workbooks assigned according to level
Life skills are the everyday tasks undertaken to be ready to participate in life activities (including dressing, eating, cleaning teeth and more). Students learn the importance of doing household chores such as folding clothes, wiping furniture, sweeping, arranging shelves and tidying up work areas.
Music & Movement
Music and Movement helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. PM students will train with dedicated NAFA Dance teacher weekly while the rest will learn dance for a hip hop song. Keyboard training will continue.
The importance of exercise in child development is always emphasized at our centre. Our exercise lessons are combined with elements of fun to challenge and stimulate child. A series of yoga poses, agility and endurance training done indoors
